Paris Hotels By Type
There are hundreds of places to stay in Paris and hotels can come in every shape, size and budget. Whether you are interested in a quaint Boutique style Hotel, the reliability of a chain hotel or the comfort of a luxury hotel, deciding what is the most important to you and understanding your options will help you pick the best spot.
As one of the world’s most visited cities Paris offers a large array of hotel options. However it is important to know which spot is right for you. Your room is often considered your base camp and point of reference for the rest of the city. To help you decide, it’s important to know a few things about Paris Hotels and what type of hotels are out there for you to choose from.
One of the important things to keep in mind when looking for your hotel is the location. Arrondissements 1 through 7 are the most centrally located and closest to most major metro stations and Paris’s major attractions and museums. If you are in some of the other Arrondissements further out you may be getting a better deal but you will probably have a much further trek to see what you want to. Different Hotel types also vary depending on location. For example there are more luxury hotels on the Rive Droite of the Right Bank of the Siene the river running through the center of the city and Rive Gauche or Left side offer more home spun, boutique style hotels. Each area in Paris also has its own unique flavor and its accommodations, dining and history to take into consideration.
Its also good to remember that Paris hotel rooms are usually a lot smaller than ones in North America and it is common to find the showers and bathrooms are compact or across the hall. However there is a wide variety. Whether you prefer a luxury suite or a quaint room with tons of character Paris has what you are looking for.
Paris Luxury Hotels
Paris is famous for the luxury hotel experience. Many of these hotels have restaurants have fantastic views and all the amenities. These lavish accommodations often include large rooms and suites and often have beautifully furnished salons and Entry ways complete with breath taking Chandeliers, tinkling china and other fabulous additions to your stay. Each hotel offers a variety of extras that are unique to each hotel, some have spas, others have multiple dining options and others still offer services for extra excursions and recreational activities.
Paris Chain hotels
Chain hotels in Paris can vary from budget hotels to the very top of the luxury hotel scene. While some consider these hotels to lack some of the character and charm of smaller Parisian hotels, they have been known to offer consistency and name recognition that comes with having a large company in many locations. Some of these hotels include The Hilton, Sheridan and Best Western and many others throughout the city.
There are also a variety of French chain hotels throughout Paris; these include some smaller boutique style accommodations to large hotels with all the amenities. One of the most well known of these chains is Accor, a larger chain that owns smaller branches like Ibis and Novotel.
