Paris Jazz Festival
Every year Paris holds a year long Jazz Festival at Parc Floral. This park sets the stage for eight weekends of live music, workshops, and a festive atmosphere. Each weekend in June and July, concerts are put on stages throughout the park multiple times a day. Check out the main stage or the multiple smaller stages set up throughout the park to see what music you like best.
Venue
The Paris Jazz Festival is held at Parc Floral. Parc Floral, which means floral gardens is well know for its beautiful flowers. The park boasts more than 3,000 different types of plants. The park is large and spacious, with 22,000 square meters of space. The floral gardens are located within the larger area of Bois de Vincennes. This historic area is a large park that Parisians and tourists both enjoy. There is one main stage at the Paris Jazz Festival called the Delta stage. This is where the big name acts will have shows. There are also three smaller stages scattered throughout the park. This is where you will find more concerts as well as workshops and organized games to play. You will find people on blankets picnicking all throughout the park each weekend.
Location
Parc Floral is located in the 12th arrondissement in Paris on the east side of the city. This sprawling park location is just outside of the central Paris neighborhoods but it is still very easy to access. The park can be accessed by Metro; the closest stop is Château de Vincennes. They even come from places as far away as Cuba and Mali. Some of the styles of music that the festival features besides Jazz are funk, soul, big band, and even circus music. You can check the festival website before your visit and find out exactly who is playing and when.
