Chinese celebrations for the New Year are known to be colorful, vibrant, and exciting. The Lyons Festival of Lights happens from December 8th to December 11th. The peak of activities is on December 8th. The two biggest activities are the Basilica of Forviere, which is lit up in different colors, and the Place de Terreaux, which hosts a different light show each year.
